Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I might have given this a four-star review if I hadn’t seen the movie first. I guess it was a case where the movie followed the book too closely, as there were no surprises here after seeing the film. Also, things seemed to happen a little too coincidentally for Harry in this one. The enchanted car saving Harry and Ron from the spiders, for instance, just really stretched that willingness to suspend disbelief.
I enjoyed all the movies and will finish this series of books eventually. Definitely good reading for the targeted age group.
