Rise of the Lycans

The new Underworld movie must be doing pretty well at the box office. I say this because the hits to my Web sites have been up, and the search engines are bringing people looking for ways to become a werewolf. "How can I become a werewolf?" and other such phrases have been the top search engine searches that have led to my sites over the past week or so.

People are strange.

You want to be a werewolf? Get nekkid in the moonlight and slather yourself with an opium-based salve like they did a few hundred years ago. It’s as close as you’re gonna get.

I mean, really. Do you think we’re going to turn somebody who is actually looking for it?

Wait. Did I write that out loud?

In other news, I’ve been mostly confined to the house for the past two days because schools have been closed due to a little ice storm. My northern friends would laugh to see what has closed down Oklahoma education. We’re closed tomorrow, too. Another day home with my own little darlings, who are not getting along with one another so well. Wonderful!

  1. I’m still waiting for the college to announce its closure… I mean it’s like there’s points in being “last guy to close.” Like they were ‘toughest’ or something.
    I am bummed…at no school. 😦

  2. Do you know how to edit posts? You can go back and that that out….and no one need ever know…

  3. Underworld:Rise of the Lycans? I enjoyed it, but I am a fan of clanging swords and adversity and other Conan-esque kinds of stuff. I liked it better than the first movie. If you saw the second and liked the swords and castles flashback stuff you’ll like this one- it’s a ‘how it all began’ they hinted at in #2.
Ways to become a werewolf? Wow- I’m so glad you ‘said’ what you did out loud. Let’s me know I’m not the only one with a ‘broken filter.’ 🙂
    Furever your Wolfmaam, Sherri 🙂

    1. I finally got to see the movie on Thursday. I really liked it. I do love the castles and swords element. Now I’m waiting for the sequel to the prequel that will fill the gap between this film and the first one. Is everyone pulling a George Lucas these days?

      1. According to a recent article on IMBD they’re looking to make a TV series. Hope they shoot for Showtime- HBO has a tendency to kill off stuff too early. (Yes, I’m still pouting over Carnivale being cancelled.)
