I began craving fame and fortune in the literary world when I was in high school. After writing my way through careers as a machinist, journalist, corporate writer, public relations specialist, and now as a high school English teacher, I’ve decided to keep writing despite the lack of wealth and notoriety.

I’ve published over 35 books, mostly in the adult horror genre, but I’ve also written for the young adult, children’s, Western, and thriller markets. I written in other genres using pseudonyms. My non-fiction writing includes how-to articles for writers, literary criticism, and hundreds of news, sports, and feature articles, as well as editorials and columns for print newspapers and online sites.

In 2004 I earned a master’s degree in liberal studies, creative writing emphasis, from the University of Oklahoma. Before that, I earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1999, and graduated from Enid High School in 1984. I’m a lifelong Oklahoman, father of four, with three grandsons. I currently live in Midwest City, Oklahoma, with my dogs Bear and Sweet Pea, and Cleo the cat. I like to kayak and camp when I don’t have papers to grade or books to work on.

I’ll still take that fame and fortune if you want to buy my books …
