I’m thrilled to announce that the first three books of The Werewolf Saga will be released in audio format by the end of 2012. Each volume is currently in production right now and will be available for download through Amazon.com, the iTunes Store, and Audible.com.

Murdered by Human Wolves will likely be ready for release in audio shortly after Graveside Tales debuts the new print edition. The novella will be narrated by Gwendolyn Jensen-Woodard. Her credits include a narration of H.P. Lovecraft’s “The Call of Cthulhu” and Fortunes Pawn by Nancy A. Hasen. She does a very nice job of voicing rural Oklahoma teenage girls.

Shara is being narrated by Casaundra Freeman. Casaundra’s credits include N.K. Jemisin’s The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms and The Broken Kingdoms, as well as Francine Thomas Howard’s Page from a Tennessee Journal. Her narration will include music and sound effects. I can’t tell you how wonderfully strange it was to hear Shara’s voice outside of my head.

Ulrik needed a male narrator, and I found a good one in Gene Joseph Blake. Gene is no stranger to narrating werewolf fiction, having already done Walter Lazo’s “Werewolf Winter: A Short Story.” He’s also voiced D. A Ramirez’s novel Kingdom of Glass and Nolan Carlson’s Summer and Shiner. His enthusiastic narrations are delivered with great nuance and you’ll never wonder which character is speaking.

I know audiobooks aren’t for everyone, but it’s a format I’ve come to put a high value on with my commute and busy schedule. I can push in the earbuds and get wrapped up in a story while doing all kinds of mindless tasks, like washing the dishes, working out, walking the dog, etc.

For the covers to the audiobooks, I’ve kept the artwork Kirk Alberts did for the Scrybe Press print editions. Graveside Tales will have its own artwork for the books (and I can tell you the MbHW art will blow your mind), but I also love Kirk’s art and hate to see it fade into obscurity with Scrybe Press.
