Many, many thanks to everyone who recommended my novelette Little Graveyard on the Prairie for the Horror Writers Association Bram Stoker Award. You have no idea how pleased I was to see this particular work climbing up the ranks of the Long Fiction category.
However, because it is just now shipping from the publisher, the folks at HWA have taken it off the 2008 rec sheet. It will be eligible for the 2009 award despite the 2008 copyright notice. This is good, as it will allow time for more people to read it and, hopefully, deem it worthy.
I should point out there are still copies available for sale from the publisher. You can also buy it at Horror Mall, if you prefer.
Ulrik is still on the list, though waaaaay down in the Novel category. Also, to my surprise, the short story "Okie Werewolf Seeks Love" has a couple of recommendations. If you’re an HWA member and want to read one or both, just drop me a line.
