I haven’t had much to say here lately.
That statement is usually followed by a long, rambling post, isn’t it?
I missed doing another “serious” entry on Monday. The only topic I could come up with was the need for imaginative fiction and films to keep us from becoming animated blocks of wood, but I was too lazy to look up any kind of facts to back me up. Assuming you care, what would you like to see for this coming Monday?
I churned out another 1,000 words on Ulrik last night. The structure I’ve chosen for the novel is a double-edged sword. Every second chapter is from Ulrik’s point of view, which sets up some great cliff-hanger chapter endings, but at the same time forces me to put off some characters longer than I’d like. Anyway, no word meter to track last night’s progress. Next time.
I have another job interview at one of the local newspapers. It’s the paper I interviewed for a few weeks ago, but this time we’ll be talking about a copy editor position. Maybe this time out I can avoid getting a parking ticket during the interview.
Being an HWA trustee is proving to be very … enlightening. If you’ve sent me an e-mail and I haven’t responded, it’s probably because I’m buried under e-mail from the rest of the board and officers.
Last thing. I promise. The new What’s On Board newsletter will be out soon from Horror World. It features an interview I did with Ray Garton. You can sign up to receive the newsletter at the Horror World site.
