New Interview Online


I spent most of yesterday answering questions for Maximum Metal’s Halloween interview. I have to say, this was the most intensive interview I’ve ever done where there wasn’t a job at stake. But unlike a job interview, this one was a lot of fun. You can read it here.

Many thanks to Nailer and the folks at Maximum Metal for choosing me for this interview. I know there are a lot of bigger names out there you could have gone with. Special thanks, also, to Brian Keene, for even bringing me to the attention of Maximum Metal. Keene even asked a question in this interview. The guy is everywhere!

    Great interview! Loved the detailed answers.
    But, um… Aerosmith headlined that concert you went to. KISS just opened for them. 😛

      No way, man! That was backwards day. No … that would mean Aerosmith and Kiss opened for the Porch Ghouls. Umm. Okay. I have no comment on that.
      Glad you liked the interview. You need to publish something new so you can do that, too.

    Those were some great questions [& answers], far better than
    I expected from a Metal site though we Metalheads do have a
    few braincells to rub together after all the headbanging.
    Dio is indeed the best singer for Sabbath. \m/

      Yeah, he did a great job coming up with those questions. It’s the best interview I’ve done.
      Nope, never listened to Behemoth. In fact, I’ve never heard of them. What’re they like?

      Yeah. I spent nearly all day Sunday working on it so they could post it for Halloween. That’s why I didn’t get around to my usual Monday post of something to do with writing or the genre.
      They run a great site there at Maximum Metal. I can spend hours there if I have the time for it.

    What a great interview!
    I sat a few tables away from Alice Cooper a few years back in a restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale. We all freaked out when he came sauntering in with a group of people.

      Alice is one of the best ever. One of my prized possessions is the autographed album cover of The Alice Cooper Show.

        You’ve got a signed album cover!
        None of us had the nerve to disturb him and ask for his autograph.
