Conestoga

I’m really looking forward to this weekend’s Conestoga convention in Tulsa. Some guy named George R.R. Martin is the guest of honor. Nah, never heard of him.

I just realized I have the wrong URL on the Conestoga link on the Appearances page on my Web site. it’s .org, not .com. I need to fix that.

Here’s my schedule for the weekend:

Saturday:
11:00 Horror: is it literature, where do I shelve it? (panel)
3:00 blogging as a promotional tool (panel moderator)
4:00 signing

Sunday
10:00 reading

I know some of you people reading this will be there. I hope to meet you all.

  1. A Sunday morning reading? Hard luck. Best of luck finding un-hungover listeners.

    1. Oh, if I bang on door at about 9 a.m. I’ll probably get a crowd. They may be angry, but they’ll be there. hehe

  2. Have yerself a great weekend.
    What will you be reading?
Have you ever met George R.R. Martin in person before?

    1. Nope, I’ve never met Mr. Martin.
I don’t know what I’ll be reading yet. Maybe “Elysia.” Maybe “Dead Betty.” I need to figure that out, though.

      1. I choose “Elysia”. Not that you were asking me, but…

        1. I’m leaning that way, too, although I think “Dead Betty” would go over better at Horrorfind. They like ’em sick for that one.

          1. Then give them something they’re not expecting. Surprises can be refreshing and fun.

  3. Up until 2 weeks ago, I was definitely going to go. Then I realized it’s right before I leave for California, so it’s not doable. Dangit! One of my friends from the writers group here in town is still trying to get me to go. “It’s not that expensive!” she says. Too bad that’s not the only reason for staying home.

    1. Eh, you should go. Everybody should go. And buy my books by the box. 😉
Have a safe trip to California. I’d tell you not to talk to strangers but … well, you’re going to California.
