Yeah, I forgot to mention that I also have freelance articles to finish up today. Kinda lost some enthusiasm for them when I learned the paper is holding two of the other ones. Oh well. One is finished, another is close and the source won’t call me back on the third. I ain’t sweating it.
I have a flea problem. Well, I don’t have the problem, but our cocker spaniel does. She’s an inside dog who only goes outside to poop and pee. She had a major, major flea outbreak a few weeks ago that left my two youngest kids covered in bites, too. We’ve gotten a handle on it with dips, collars and multiple baths, but a day after her bath and Ladybug has fleas again. I don’t understand it. We’ve had some seriously cold temperatures that should have frozen any insects living outside, I think. Anybody out there have any suggestions? At least the fleas are staying on her and not munching on my children anymore.
I am so jonesing for my werewolf characters. Those 50 pages of the new werewolf novel are hanging over me, whispering that I should come back. And I will. But I gotta finish work on The Prometheus Syndrome. I just haven’t had any time lately. The only writing I’ve done is work related. Well, except for a new introduction to Darkscapes, but that hardly counts. So much of the new werewolf book plot has been hashed out with that I know what’s going to happen. It’s all outlined in e-mail I’ve saved. Hell, most of the third book is outlined in those e-mails. Ah, what I’d give for a month of doing nothing but writing fiction.
Ooo! “Cover of the Rolling Stone” is on the radio. Yeah, I’m a Dr. Hook fan. So what. They had a lot of stinkers, but when they got it right they were a great band.
