I am looking to begin a new adventure as the owner of a bookstore.
You may recall a few years ago I published a novel called The Lost Pages Bookstore. I think it’s probably my best story, and part of that is because the desire to run a store in a small town has been strong in me for a really long time.
Now is the time to make it a reality. The Lost Pages Bookstore LLC is a real thing. There’s a website, though at the moment it’s kind of in beta mode and mostly only has my own books listed on it.
I have found a physical property I like and will be talking to a banker about securing a loan to purchase the building tomorrow. Even with that, though, there are a lot of expenses to starting a new business. To that end, I have started a GoFundMe to give you the chance to help establish this literary space.

I’m looking in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at a property near the Oklahoma Baptist University campus. The building began as a house but was converted into a law office. It has beautiful floor-to-ceiling bookshelves already built in, plus an amazing picture window in that room, which will house the new inventory. Other rooms will house used books sorted by genre. I’ll have a coffee and tea self-serve bar, a room dedicated to events, several tables placed throughout the space to encourage reading, chatting, and relaxing. I want to have art from local artists for sale on the walls and book-related crafts and other items for sale.
I want The Lost Pages Bookstore to be a haven for book lovers. If this is something you believe in, your support would be greatly appreciated.
