It was raining when I woke up this morning. The rain was mixed with weak snowflakes after my shower. When I went to get in the car the air was filled with big, fat, wet snow. It diminished a little as I drove the 20 (or so) miles to work, but now it’s back. I know you folks up north must think I’m a nut for loving this, but it’s our first real snow of the year. We had an ice storm a few weeks ago, but those aren’t any fun. This is real snow. It’s even beginning to stick to the streets. If I didn’t have so much to do at work today I’d go home and make snowmen with the little kids and be waiting with snowballs when the older ones get out of school.
But, alas, there is work to do.
There were some interesting responses to last night’s post. Nick T., I wrote a long response to you, but I didn’t like the tone, so I deleted it. You made some good points, though.
A very good friend is trying to give up smoking. She’s struggling with it and needs encouragement. She’s chronicling her battle in a blog and is being very open. Smoking for her is even worse than smoking for most people. She really has to quit. So please, go drop a few words of encouragement.
