Word count, and a correction

Yesterday was a good day. I actually got a whole chapter of Ulrik written from start to finish. So here’s the updated word meter:

Kim’s off this weekend, so I’m hoping to get some more writing done. I have to, as I turned over all my recent output to Gayleen and Paul today. I can’t give them anything new until I write it now. Funny how that works.

The other day I said GAK had been asked to do the cover of The Oklahoma Gazette issue with the interview of me and Craig Wolf. If you read the comments to that post recently you’ll know that it’s actually Kirk Alberts who has been asked to do the cover. GAK is a fantastic artist, but I’m extremely happy to know it’s actually Kirk they’ve asked to do the cover. As you know, Kirk is the man responsible for the Scrybe Press covers of Call to the Hunt, Shara and Seven Days in Benevolence, all of which can be seen at my Web site.

An old friend called today about a possible job lead. It may not go anywhere, but it’s very, very intriguing.

Tomorrow is the first day of the Head of the Oklahoma Centennial Regatta, an OCU rowing event on the “Oklahoma River” (what a joke of a river!). I worked my ass off to make this event successful last year. Needless to say, I’m praying for heavy rain this weekend.
